Another Week

Today I started my second week of daycare!  All of my friends were there like last week and I'm still behaving myself.  I'm so proud of myself, I've attached my daily information sheet that Mommy and Daddy get everyday when they pick me up!  When I came home from daycare tonight, I started making noises that I learned from the boys at daycare.  I make my voice sound like a motorcycle when I open my mouth.
This week I have also added a new vegetable to my list of foods: carrots!  I REALLY like carrots, maybe even more than carrots.  I gladly open my mouth for carrots anytime.

New Friends

Me with my new Hello Kitty
This was a big week for the entire family!  Daddy went back to work, and I started at daycare.  On Monday morning, we woke up very early and I got dressed in my clothes for the day right away.  After I ate my breakfast, Daddy said goodbye to me and Mommy and I got in the car.  Before I even knew it I was at Kiddie University.  That is where I go during the day while Mommy and Daddy are at work.  Everyone there is so nice and happy.  I don't get upset when Mommy leaves me because there is so much to see and do.  There is another baby named Alice that has my same birthday and there is a boy my age named Hawkins that is teaching me how to do the army crawl.  My teachers, Miss Elaine and Miss Betsy are very nice and they take such good care of me.  During the day, they fill out a progress sheet for me that gives Mommy and Daddy information on how my day went from how I ate to what my mood was.  Most of the time I am happy, curious and busy.  There are toys at daycare that I don't have at home so I've got to explore all of them.  I think overall I did very well for my first week - it didn't take much time at all for me to adjust.
In the past week, I also started eating apples.  When I first taste the food in my mouth it tastes funny and I make weird faces, but after a while I get used to it and I do a good job eating.  I tend to get distracted while I eat, but I eventually finish.  I think my favorite food is still bananas though.  They are so good when they are mashed!
Reading my book before bed
Today was very breezy, but it was nice and warm.  Because Mommy got home early from work, we went for a family walk.  Mommy and Daddy walked me in my new stroller!  I like the stroller so much because I can look around and see where I am walking.  Usually, I get stuck looking at the sky.  Facing forward is way more fun!  Tonight when Mommy and Daddy read me my night time story, towards the end I started clapping my hands.  They were so proud of me!  I can't wait until my claps start making noise like Mommy's!

New Teeth

Over the past couple of weeks my teeth have been slowly growing - they have come up so far that you can see them now!!!  Check out my beautiful mouth!!
Yesterday the weather was so beautiful we went for a walk when Mommy got home from work. I like the fact that she doesn't have to work all day on Friday so I get to see her during the day!  For the walk I wore my safari hat!  It has a nice big brim on it and a flap in the back to protect my neck from the sun!  I love traveling in the front carrier.  I pretend that Im walking myself and I get to bounce my legs up and down like Im floating.  My legs are much bigger than when I was first born!
This week I also started eating mashed banana!  I LOVE banana.  Its so sweet and tasty and the texture is easy for me to swallow.  I really look forward to dinner time because I know that Im going to get banana then!!  It would be cool if Daddy put a little bit of mashed banana in my rice cereal for lunch!
Mommy holds my lip down so you can see my two lower teeth!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today is definitely a happy day!  Mommy did not go to work (unfortunately she isn't feeling well) so I got to see her when she got out of bed occasionally.   Daddy is doing a great job taking care of the both of us!
Last Wednesday night, I started eating sweet potatoes.  Even though I wore quite a bit of them on my face, I was able to taste something new besides rice cereal or formula.  I enjoy sitting in my high char, I feel like such a big girl!  There's so many things I am doing now that makes me feel grown up.  I can sit up on my own in the bathtub now too!  Things seem to happen on a daily basis, Mommy and Daddy have to keep a close eye on me!

Home Again Home Again Jiggity Jig

I had a wonderful trip with Daddy to Pennsylvania!  It was great seeing Grammie and Grandpa, especially for the Super Bowl.  They gave me some Steeler's onesies.  I cheered as best as I could, however I got tired, fell asleep and they ended up losing.  Oh well, I still look cute in yellow and black....like a bumblebee.  Grammie did such a great job giving me my bottle and putting me to bed at night so I was on my best behavior.  She gave me a book about Groundhogs.  I love books, especially before bedtime!
Daddy said I was very well behaved during our travels though the airport and so many people had such kind comments about me.  Even though out trip up to Pennsylvania was crazy because they lost my car seat, everything worked out just fine.  I was happy to see Mommy when I got home.  She said a lot had changed since she saw me last time.  Im babbling so much more now than ever and my first bottom tooth popped out!  Its amazing how much I can grow in a couple of days!  Luckily my mouth isn't bothering me with my teeth breaking through my gums.
I had a surprise when I came home too.  My high chair arrived in the mail and Mommy put it together for me.  I got to test it out; I CAN'T WAIT til I get to eat lunch and dinner in my high chair!  I guess its back to normal for Daddy and me - I had a great weekend though!

Can't Stop Moving

I have been extremely active since the last time I posted. (Check out my action shots below) You will have to excuse me...its been quite a while too.  Im trying to get in all the Daddy time as possible before he goes back to work.  Recently I've been spending most of my free time on my belly and I've perfected the moonwalk.  Daddy will set me down on one side of the living room and before you know it I've backed my way onto the floor on the other side of the room.  It's hard figuring out how to get my legs under me to crawl, but I think any day now I'll be completely mobile and go wherever I please!
Today things were getting packed up for me.  Daddy and I are going on a trip to Pennsylvania this weekend.  It will be sad to be away from Mommy for a few days, but I'm excited to see Grammie and Grandpa.  When I return, I will have to tell you all about my weekend!
