I Lost a Tooth!

Today was the best day of my life! It was my first day back at school and my tooth was really loose! At snack time I bit into a cracker and I felt something pop, then one of my friends Cayla (who also lost a tooth today) just told me to pull it and I pulled it right out! When I got off the bus after school, I covered my mouth with my hands and Mommy knew instantly what had happened! Mrs Manukas let me choose which color treasure chest to put my tooth in so I could get it home. My tooth made it home safely and I can't wait until the tooth fairy comes to visit me tonight!
The black swallowtails came out of their cocoons!

Waiting for the eggs to dye
Spring is definitely in the air, there are all kinds of new animals everywhere, just in time for Easter! Easter was fun! On Good Friday was dyed our Easter eggs and on Sunday morning the Easter bunny had visited us! The bunny brought me some new Legos, a luffa, new clothes, new rain boots, some barrettes and of course, candy! Although it rained all day, it didn't stop me from having fun! At 10AM I started erecting my new set of Legos and by 3PM I was done and playing with it! (Don't worry I took a break for lunch!) After dinner, it was still raining, so Daddy set up an obstacle course in the garage for Adam and I to ride our bikes!

Bluebonnets in Texas!

Our spring visit to Texas was a blast! Although we had to wake up early in the morning to catch our plane flight to Austin, we had a busy afternoon at Mimi and Papa's house to keep us from falling asleep. Soon after we arrived, Saige came to see us and enjoy an afternoon of opening Easter presents, decorating the house and going go the park (with of course dropping by the Easter themed dinosaur statue to say hello).
The next morning we went to the Wildflower gardens to see some bluebonnets and explore different areas. There were statues to see, towers to climb, streams to cross and waterfalls to hide behind. In the afternoon we rode bikes around the neighborhood. Mimi and Papa had a two wheeler bike just like the one I have at home. I rode with Mimi and Papa around the park and at the school all afternoon. It was so fun! When I wasn't riding my bike, I was playing at the park.

On Monday we visited Rodeo Austin!!! It wasn't the rodeo that Adam and I were expecting, but it was so much fun! We saw a Mexican cowboy called a Charro swing his lasso in every way imaginable on a horse named Hollywood. She had a beautiful mane; after the show she came over to the side of the arena so I could pet her! That was followed by a pig racing show where we saw pigs racing around a ring trying to be the first to get an Oreo cookie! After that, I got to go on a pony ride! My pony's name was AppleDan. Then, we went to another show that had monkeys riding sheep dogs! It was the craziest thing I have ever seen! Even crazier was the petting zoo that we walked around after that. There were llamas creeping around, cute kids (baby goats) that were barely a few weeks old, ducks, deer, pigs, donkeys, chickens and sheep all ready to be petted. I'm glad I didn't have any food in my hand because those animals would have made me nervous! Near the petting zoo we saw how a cow gets milked! Now I know exactly where my milk comes from! We relaxed for a bit and listened to some live music then took a ride on the carousel before we had to leave. The weather was perfect for our visit to Rodeo Austin. On Tuesday we visited some parks around Austin. We went to Zilker park to play and have a picnic lunch, then we went to a sculpture garden along Lady Bird Lake and to wrap up our park day, we went to a small garden that was filled with peacocks! They had beautiful tails and colors and made very funny squaking noises. Luckily they weren't as friendly as the animals in the petting zoo so I wasn't so scared of them!I had such a fun time visiting Mimi and Papa's house, and also spending time with cousin Saige, Uncle Marcus and Tracie. I can't believe my track out is pretty much over already! Time to go back to school!!!

Spring in Pennsylvania

Although it was early March, it felt close to summer on our trip to Pennsylvania! The drive there went much faster than I thought because I was filled with suspense with the impending surprise for Grammie. And surprised she was! We drove straight to a restaurant before we even got to their house and went to a table and waited. After a few minutes Grammie and Gramps walked to our table. She was shocked, but really happy to see us! The surprise was for her birthday. After we finished dinner we sang her happy birthday, Grammie blew out the candle, then Adam and I enjoyed a brownie for dessert. We drove the rest of the way to Grammie and Gramps house after leaving the restaurant and would spend the rest of our visit having a great time with lots of fun activities, including a visit to the Rendezvous Chainsaw Carving Festival on day and an afternoon at camp on another!
At camp, we ran from one activity to the next, and I literally ran all afternoon, especially when I was flying my kite. We blew bubbles, visited my favorite horses to feed them carrots, had an Easter egg hunt, drove in the side-by-side (we had a special girls ride), sat by the campfire, enjoyed hot chocolate and to cap off the night we released sky lanterns into the clear, star-filled sky. Although we were only in Pennsylvania for a few days, we managed to pack in lots of activities and there was barely a moment to rest!
