The 100th Day!

On Saturday at school, yes I said Saturday (our snow make-up day), we celebrated our 100th day of kindergarten! We did so many fun activities at school! We made necklaces with 100 fruit loops, wrote about what we would do if we were 100 years old (that picture scares me so much), we ate 100 pieces of different foods for snack, and we found 100 Hershey Kisses that were hidden around the classroom. The best part of the day was Mommy came to help in the classroom! I felt so special having her there! It is crazy that I have been in Kindergarten for that long already, but I can definitely tell that I have been learning so much! There are some books now that I can read all by myself!

Snow in NC...

...means no school in NC!! We saw our first snow last weekend; it was the pretty kind that comes down in big fluffy flakes, then never amounts to anything on the ground. Mother nature made up for it the following weekend with lots and lots of ice and sleet. On Friday, school was cancelled, but Adam and I were up early looking out the windows awaiting a winter wonderland. It never came. All we could do is watch out the window. And when we did finally venture out, it was mostly just ice. Oh well. I guess I'll just enjoy being home from school because guess what? School was cancelled for Monday too. More Adam time for me!

Back to School

Boy, it's nice being back in school. I love seeing my friends at school and the new centers we have started. The theme for the first weeks of the year is Fairy Tales! I just love all of the stories we are learning (I completely recited Jack and the Beanstock to everyone at the dinner table) and the centers that go along with the themes of fairy tales. For example, at one of the centers we at porridge and had to describe it using our five senses. School is going well, although I will say I miss Adam. We play well together when I'm home because we haven't seen each other day after day. We are like two kits in a clubhouse, Adam and me!

Happy 2016!

This year we rang in 2016 in a way totally unexpected! Camping in a tent!! On New Years Eve during the day, Daddy set up the big tent in the playroom so that Adam and I could test out our new sleeping bags. In a surprising twist, we were allowed to have an overnight campout in the tent! We must just be warming up for our campout in the backyard! The weather was really ugly outside, but it didn't matter for our indoor campout. We stayed up until about 10:30, then we were ready for bed. We took our sleeping bags, pillows and could have one friend in the tent with us. We told some stories, then laid down and went to sleep. Mommy and Daddy couldn't make it though the whole night in the tent, but Adam and I did!
On the first morning of the new year, we woke up to a surprise! When we came downstairs, Adam found some presents on the table. Santa had come back to our house! He left a note for us explaining that every New Year's Eve, the reindeer and elves help him clean out his sleigh and they found presents for us. I'm glad he found those gifts because he brought me Anna and Elsa pillow cases (pillow sheets I called them at first)! My new sheets look so spectacular now!!
It seems like we had to wait FOREVER, but Mike, Sandy, Kaitlyn and Lauren finally arrived. Daddy told us last week that they were going to come visit and I was so excited for them to come. We enjoyed a day with them eating good food, watching Penn State football and playing upstairs. The sun finally came out after days and days so we were able to enjoy being outside for a little bit. I kicked a ball with Lauren and rode my scooter. It was a fun day and I'm glad that they came to visit us! They kept talking about having to go back to school on Monday, and it is reminding me that I have to go back to school too!!
