Screenwriter

All the filming that happened during Mimi and Papa's visit inspired Adam and me to become filmmakers ourselves! Adam and I planned a whole movie night for Mom and Dad. I was responsible for writing an designing the movie, The Adventures of Bear and Deer while Adam took care of all the logistics of tickets, snacks, lighting, etc. We worked all weekend for the premiere which happened on Sunday evening. Luckily Adam did a good job shining the flashlight onto the movie while I narrated. From their comfortable seats in Adam's bed, Mom and Dad enjoyed a great film experience.
School has been good. I had an excellent report card from first quarter and my teacher thinks I'm one of the best kids in class! Of course she should think that because I AM! We got to decorate our boxes for Marco's pizza night and we even had some unexpected days off of school because of Hurricane Michael. Even better, those days were special because we had Dad all to ourselves while Mom left town to spend time with old friends at a wedding. When Mom returned from her trip, she had a letter in the mailbox just for her to tell her how much I missed her - I love writing letters!

No More Braces!

I am officially done with braces (for now)! I think my teeth are much improved. As long as I remember to wear my retainer, hopefully I will keep everything in place! No more food restrictions or cutting sandwiches and hamburgers into pieces! WooHoo!

The week before going back to school for the second quarter, we had a visit from Mimi and Papa! A majority of time was spent in filming - Papa is in a film class and needed our help for his final project. He sent a script for a short video starring Adam and me! It was hard work acting and getting the lines right. Hopefully, Papa got what he needed so he can make a great film! When I was not on camera, I had so much fun sewing. I asked Mimi to help me make my Joy costume for Halloween this year. We went to the store, picked out some fabric and a pattern to make my dress. I helped cut it out. With the extras Mimi taught me how to tie knots and sew seams so I could make little pocket pouches for everyone in my family! Sewing is fun!
Before Mimi and Papa left, they got to see me play in a soccer game! Although we didn't win, I was happy that they got to see me play! Papa had his camera in hand and got lots of great shots of me in action!
