TWO YEARS OLD!!!

I have finally made it 24 whole months!!!  And when you ask me how old I am, I can say two!!  I had such a wonderful birthday.  Both of my grandparents, my cousins, Aunt Sandy and Uncle Mike all came to celebrate with me!  The gifts I received have been keeping me quite busy around the house.  Everybody is also very impressed with how many new words I have learned since last time I saw them, not to mention my keen sense on listening and being able to repeat almost anything I hear.  The best thing about my birthday party was entertaining everybody - they all laughed and had their eyes on me the whole time!  Boy, was I ever exhausted by the end of the day!  Even though I cleaned the plate with my birthday cake on it, I fell right asleep!

The day after my birthday, we went to church and Adam was baptized.  I knew it was a special day for him so I was on my best behavior.  He is a great brother and I am happy that he behaved for the ceremony.  Overall, I had a great weekend with my family, I just wish I could see them all the time!

Activities with Adam

I just love my baby brother!  It's so much fun when I come home from school and he is there for me to play with and pester!  When it comes time to feed and change Adam I like to do the same things with Maya and be just like Mommy!  At school right now I have been spending time in the big kids room because my teacher is out of town.  They must think that I am super mature for my age.  They must know that I am turning 2 in less than a month!  For my big day I have been practicing numbers.  I know how to say all of my numbers from 1-10, sometimes I say them in order and others I just say whichever number comes to mind.  Hopefully by my birthday I can learn how to hold my hands up to show the number 2.
This past weekend I started drinking with a straw!  I watch Mommy drink from a straw and I want to be like her.  During snack time I got my first juice box and I had no problem drinking it!  Straws are fun!

Surprise Visits!

It has been soooo long since I have blogged, I figured it was about time I let you know what has been going on with me.  Unfortunately Mommy got very sick two weeks ago and I didn't see her for a while.  But, with Mommy not here I saw a lot of Daddy and both sets of my grandparents!  I have had so much fun with them!  Trips to the park, lots of hugs, daily walks, doing things MY way - its been so nice seeing them.  I really didn't like not seeing Mommy, but there were so many people here to keep me company it was okay.

I have been learning new words and songs everyday and I've taken a liking to singing in the car so Daddy doesn't turn on the radio! I'm getting really good at saying my colors and I like to pretend that I'm talking on the phone.  This morning I called Grammie because I missed her, but she said that she had a nice trip back to Pennsylvania so I was glad for that.  Mimi is still here and she has been helping out with me while Mommy is getting better.  Soon its going to be so quiet in the house without everyone here, although my brother Adam (who I still love kissing) likes to talk and cry a lot so he will keep me on my toes.
