My 8th Birthday!

This year's birthday did not disappoint! From the beginning to the end it was a winning 8th birthday! For my birthday, I wanted to go to the beach, but since my first soccer game was on my birthday, we moved our beach trip to the weekend before. So, last weekend I had a great day at Carolina Beach digging in the sand and jumping in the waves! And, just like I had seen in the Hawaii videos from when mom was a kid, I got to try boogie boarding! I had to do it lots of times, but I finally got the hang of catching the small waves. I was "Sittin' on top of the world!"

Then, a week later, I had a BALL on my birthday, literally! At my first soccer game of the season, I scored the first goal! Even better, for my special day, Mom coached my soccer team because my coach couldn't be there. Then, later in the day, we went to see NC Football Club play in a game. Before going in the stadium, a ball bounced out into the parking lot and I got to keep it! Once inside the stadium, we got free wrestling masks! With our masks on, we watched a spectacular soccer game! There were 8 goals scored in the game and NC FC won the game! I couldn't believe how some of the goals were scored! Men hitting it with their head and flipping backwards to get it into the goal! Aside from all the soccer stuff, I enjoyed celebrating my birthday with cake, presents and seeing all my grandparents! It's great being 8!

Talent Show and Teeth Pulling

Singing at the talent show
One day, Adam said there was going to be a concert. I needed to come up with two songs for the show. I wrote two for the show: Trees in the Breeze and Splash Splash. I think Trees in the Breeze was a hit! The songs go like this:
Trees in the breeze, It makes me want to sneeze, When I have a cold, I see words in bold and geeeeeeet told. Trees in the breeze, There's so many fleas, When things go wrong and someone does a bong, then everyone will Freak!
Splash Splash I'm in the pool, What's more fun than using a tool. I might as well use a hammer, that does the job like a bammer. Splash Splash I'm in the pool, As well as a fool, which might be a clown, that likes the color brown.
If I could smile, I could. It wasn't bad at all!
Also, the next week I was really brave because I had a frenulectomy at the dentist. I knew that I was going to go to the dentist on Friday afternoon for that, but on the way, Dad told me that I was going to have two teeth pulled! Dr. Lee was a really funny dentist and he kept tricking me that he was going to take one of my teeth! Mom and Dad were really proud of me, Mom said I was a trooper. Dad was really supportive while I was at the dentist (he took me) and as a treat that afternoon we laid in my bed and watched the movie Despicable Me. My first dental procedure wasn't so bad! I am getting so used to it now, it doesn't even feel like anything, and it's only been two days! I only needed medicine right after I got home from the dentist and that was it! As an added bonus, the tooth fairy gave me $5! That is the most I have ever gotten for losing a tooth!
