Vanna

Recently, people have been calling me Vanna. I have discovered that I enjoy mimicking Wheel of Fortune on the half wall of the kitchen. I put on my pretty dress (beads from the Mardi Gras festival) and I push a letter, walk to the end of the wall and clap. I do it throughout the day, especially when Wheel comes on the TV. Sometimes I step up my wardrobe and wrap one of my blankets around myself and that becomes my pretty dress. My imagination is incredible! When Mimi and Papa came to visit last weekend, Mimi gave me a pretty bracelet to go with my pretty necklace which I enjoy wearing  when I become Vanna. The funny part about all of this, is that when I first started doing it, Mommy and Daddy had no idea what I was doing. Now that they know, Mommy made a puzzle with letters for me to push!

Speaking of Mimi and Papa, I had a great visit with them. It is memorable because the day they arrived it was snowing! The flakes were so big and fluffy, I wish that it would have stuck so I could make a snowman! I enjoyed doing puzzles, taking pictures and playing in the fish pond with Papa, while Mimi and I had fun reading books together! Watching them and Daddy drink coffee has really gotten me into drinking it myself. In the morning, when Mommy makes breakfast, I brew myself a cup of coffee to drink. I have replaced my routine of filling Baby Sara's bottles with making coffee for myself - ah how my priorities change as I grow up!
We also celebrated Valentine's Day since I last blogged. It was fun! I helped make handprint Valentines to send to my grandparents, and I got clothes as presents - which is great because I am into fashion these days. I like trying on clothes and modeling them! When Mommy tried to take a picture of me and Adam in our Valentine's shirts from Grammie, it didn't work out so well because neither Adam nor I can sit still!!

I am constantly learning new phrases, or making up my own and here are a few notable ones:
  • Sitting in the potty: "We don't eat poo poo, we eat dinner."
  • Going to bed: "Don't go pee pee in the bed, don't go pee pee on the floor, don't go pee pee on the carpet, go pee pee in the potty."
  • Learning Adam's middle name: "It's not Adam Princess, it's Adam Vincent"
  • Looking around the dinner table and announcing everyone's name: "Adam Vincent, Comora Marie, Daddy Young, Julie Young"
  • After accidentally breaking wind at the dinner table in response to Daddy asking me, what do you say: "That was a good one."

Adam's first time in the bathtub with me - I was good at sharing with him!

Miss Obvious

In addition to announcing what cars I see driving down the streets (whether they are the Silver Bullet or not) I point out every last thing that Mommy does during the day. I point out what she eats for her meals, when she goes places in the house, if Adam has pooped, just about any phrase that I have learned I use if it happens around me. Right now I have an obsession with pretty dresses.  Vanna on Wheel of Fortune wears pretty dresses so I want to do the same.  The other day, Mommy gave me one of her tank tops to wear as a pretty dress and I wore a pair of her shoes that I pulled out of the closet with it.
Yesterday Mommy took me to a Mardi Gras street festival where I got some pretty beads.  I like to wear them around the house. The festival was a lot of fun - I loved the fact that there was loud music and I could dance in the middle of the street.  Mommy saw a lot of people admiring my moves! The weather was perfect for a festival outside. Sunny and only a little chilly.  This whole week was nice, so we made it out for walks during the day. One of these days when Adam outgrows the carrier, I'm going to get to take Baby Sara out in the carrier with me! Since I have been doing such a good job feeding Baby Sara, Daddy let me try feeding Adam the other day and I did a good job.  I kept yelling, "I did it!" I was so proud of myself!
I have not been a huge fan of the bathtub recently - I think Mommy and Daddy need to get a new shower head so that they can rinse my hair when  they wash it because right now I don't like it.  Everytime I get a bath I ask if I have to get "the cup" which I use to refer to the fact that they are going to pour water on my head to rinse my hair.  I just despise getting water in my eyes! I do like playing with the cup, it's fun pouring water into the tub.

I CAN!

My newest phrase is I can't.  Everything, no matter if I can do it or not is, I can't.  I think it is annoying Mommy and Daddy (which is obviously my goal), but they say it, so I don't know what the big deal is...
I had a nice week this week.  On an outing to the mall I got to pick out some new shoes! I love them so much I have been wearing them around the house.  Daddy says after I wear them outside I can't wear them in the house anymore.  Maybe I can get a few more miles out of my old shoes so I don't have to take my new ones out yet!
Baby Sara is now eating like Adam! She used to only eat bottles like Adam, but now that Adam eats at his high chair, so does Sara.  I like to feed her before I eat, so I strap her into my highchair and feed her at the table.  Sometimes she eats just cereal, and others she eats a whole list of things like apples, pears, peaches, pizza and potatoes!  Either way, I'm a great Mommy to my baby - I rarely let him, oops I mean her (I'm still learning the difference between him and her) out of my sight!!

I also have a very silly streak in me that comes out every so often.  The other day when Mommy was doing laundry I stole a pair of her underwear and decided to make it into my own "dress".  Maybe I will be a fashion designer when I grow up!
