A PreK-3 Graduate!

School's out for the summer!!! This past week was my last day of school! For the end of the year program, my class and I sang songs. We sang The Days of the Week, Jesus Loves Me, 6 Little Ducks, If You're Happy and You Know It. I sang loud and clear, did all of the movements and gave Mommy and Daddy a reason to be extremely proud! To celebrate I got to go out to lunch with Mommy and Daddy! At the restaurant I acted all Pre-K 4 grown up and ordered my own drink and food. It was so nice to spend time with just Mommy and daddy on my special day! Hopefully we have a fun summer planned!!!

Tis the Season for Strawberries!

This was a quick strawberry season because the winter was so cold and then it got hot really fast. So, we only got out to the patch twice, but both times were fun! Plus we picked so many strawberries the first time we needed a break from strawberries for a week or so. The first outing we went to my favorite place where we get to go for ice cream after picking. I got to share ice cream with Daddy :) Then, the second time was fun too because we went with some friends. I was bummed that there was no ice cream to enjoy afterwards, but there were horses in the next field that I got to see, so that made up for the lack of ice cream.

Spring Field Trip!

This week I joined my class for a field trip at the Museum of Life and Science in Durham. Luckily, Daddy stayed home with Adam so I could enjoy a really fun day with Mommy! We had a special program with my class where we learned about things that moved (we touched a chinchilla and baby alligator). After that was over, Mommy and I ate lunch then set off to explore the rest of the museum. Here are a few highlights of our visit:
1) We saw some dinosaurs and I got to climb on one!
2) The choo choo train ride was fun, especially the part where we screamed in the tunnel!
3) When we were eating our snack, we heard a fire truck siren in the distance, which made the wolves awake and start to howl.
4) In the butterfly house, a butterfly kept trying to land on my head! It was scary!
5) Steamy mist is fun to run through!
6) I saw in a huge chair (the baby chair was too small, the mommy chair was too perfect, so the daddy chair was juuuust right)

Springtime Activities

Spring is in full swing! And we have been swinging to say the least. Now I am able to run to the park ahead of Mommy and start swinging before she even gets there! We have been really busy enjoying the spring weather. We went to a special event for Mommy where we walked along a greenway, ate food and played some fun games. I had so much fun throwing balls, jumping, and trying to hit a golf ball. I even got to get my face painted - only after I told Mommy she needed to walk away and do something else while the lady painted two flowers on my face. This weekend I went to Austin's birthday party. We played basketball and ate food! It was fun because all of my friends from school were there! I wish there were birthday parties every weekend! Then I could eat cake all the time!

We also planted the garden this weekend. I tried to help Mommy shovel the dirt around, but I preferred running around the yard with Adam singing "Let It Go." In fact, I run around everywhere singing my favorite song, in the playroom, on the porch, jumping on the bed, when I'm out for walks, in my underwear. Anyways, I had fun shopping for plants with Mommy. She let me pick out some flowers to put in the garden. I hope they grow big and beautiful!
