More Pickin'

Strawberries are done, so now on to blueberries. I was good at blueberry picking last year, but I've gotten even better. I picked only ripe, juicy, blue berries and kept my eating to a minimum. I'd say that I filled at least the bottom of my bucket - which is a lot since Adam didn't put a single one in his basket! Adam was eating so many, Mommy had to leave Daddy and me to all the picking and walk Adam around the farm so he would stop eating. Daddy and I make a good picking team!

After a full morning of picking (which included sharing a cup of ice cream afterwards), we were so exhausted, Mommy let us watch a movie and eat popcorn after naps! We had a great day - I just look forward to more exciting things for the summer!

Summer in Full Swing

To kick off summer, we have had some special guests visiting us in NC. Grammie and Gramps stopped in for a day of fun. Then, two days later, we saw Papa for a morning of fun! I'm so lucky that my grandparents come to see me as often as they do! I can show them at my finest - riding my bike that is. The bicycle riding has finally clicked. After much hard work practicing going up and down the driveway, I'm now able to go down the driveway, around the cul-de-sac and back up the big bump into the driveway all by myself!
We've also jumped straight into summer with a visit to the beach and the swimming pool! At the swimming pool, I've tried out a new floatie that allows me to swim by myself. I couldn't test it out at the beach because the water was a little too scary for me. Maybe next time. Instead of being at the beach all day, this beach trip we visited the aquarium. I loved it!! My most favorite part was looking into the huge tank filled with big fish, sharks and a sea turtle. I could have touched a horseshoe crab, but they were too scary! I enjoyed seeing all the animals and hopefully on our next trip to the beach I will be a little more adventuresome and want to play in the water!

Little Mommy

Mommy has been noticing recently that I spend a good bit of time tending to Adam. It was especially apparent this past weekend. Adam and I were playing together one evening and when we were called down for dinner he and I sat next to each other so I could make sure he ate all his dinner without spilling, although Mommy and Daddy think I should spend more time worrying about the spills I make of my own! Continuing my spectacular mothering skills, I help Adam put his sandals on when were are preparing to go outside. Mommy should be thanking me for all the help I give her throughout the day. It's the least I can do because she is such a great mom.
This past weekend we went to a baseball game! We got to see fireworks just like when I went with Daddy last year! Daddy and I had fun again at the game this time. We watched some baseball, would clap and dance when music came on, and he took me for a walk around the stadium after we got ice cream together! It was another fun time!
