My First Big Snow in NC

Today I couldn't go to school because it snowed! Even though it was really cold outside, Mommy let use go outside for a little while as she shoveled some snow. Mr Chris from next door made me a cup of hot chocolate so I was nice and warm while enjoying the snow!

Texas Time!

I have officially been to Texas twice now!! This time I remember much more from my trip. Uncle Marcus, Aunt Tracie, Saige, Mimi, and Papa were all there. Plus, we met Mommy's aunt and uncle, Judy and Arne! It was like a big party! When we weren't playing with Saige's toys at her house, we got to play outside in the nice weather and we visited the Thinkery, a children's museum in Austin. I was a little shy with all the kids there, but Daddy helped by exploring the museum with me. After exploring the museum, we went and played with a bunch of bouncy toys in one of the exhibits! We had so much fun - even Daddy was bouncing and Mommy was hula-hooping! Saige and Adam had fun with each other because they are the same size. And, Saige is walking now!
We could walk to a park near Saige's house and it was a FUN park! Everything was the perfect size, so Adam and I had fun sliding and running around. I even got to swing with Papa! Saige has a dog named Olive. I have seen her on Skype before, but that didn't prepare me for such a big dog! Olive let me pet her a few times, but I preferred watching her play outside from the window.
We also stayed at a hotel which Daddy called our "home away from home." My favorite part was running around the atrium looking at the fish in the ponds. I especially liked the black fish that just laid on the bottom. The hotel had an indoor swimming pool, so Mommy took me swimming one day to show off my new swimming skills to everyone.
There was so much going on and we had so much fun that the weekend went so fast! I enjoyed flying on the airplane, and I was very well behaved. Had I known it was going to be so cold when we got back I would have tried to stay in Texas. But, I have school, and swim lessons. Speaking of school, it was cancelled last week because it snowed! It wasn't enough snow to play in, but it was enough to look pretty! Maybe I'll have to draw a picture of it!

Swim Lessons for the New Year!

I have officially become a fish in the water! Mommy forgot the camera at my first lesson last week (maybe she was afraid it wouldn't go well) but she had it this week to prove that I am thoroughly enjoying my lessons. My favorite part would have to be when we get to jump into the water! Even though my head goes into the water, my teacher Ms Jessica is always there to hold me up and help me out of the water so I can do it again. Although I have given quite a few death grips to Ms Jessica, I'm getting more accustomed to being in the water. The kicking is easier than digging with my hands. It's hard work trying to kick and dig at the same time. Hopefully in the next few weeks I will continue to get better with my swimming!
Other than my swimming, it's been a good year so far. We finally put all of Christmas into the attic including the tree that was in the play room. Now we just get to play with all of our new toys, which has kept Adam and I extremely busy! All of the imagination I put into playing makes me exhausted! Here I am sleeping with my horse - gotta make sure you've got a pillow and a blanket for a proper nap!

The Great Opening!

Christmas was a thrill! Santa brought some wonderful gifts for me - new shoes, vegetables, blocks, a purse, a microphone and some miniature animals. In addition to gifts from Santa, I got some great gifts from family and friends! I am so lucky to have so many people thinking of me! Since it is the holidays and school hasn't started yet, I've been having fun playing with my new toys. A few of my favorite things are singing at my microphone, dancing in my sprinkle shoes like a Rockette and drawing on my new art easel with chalk! Adam has been enjoying playing along with me, dancing, playing dress up and talking in to the microphone.
A few days after Christmas, we got to visit Kaitlyn, Lauren, Uncle Mike and Aunt Sandy! We had a nice trip to Virginia and I had such a fun time with them! While we were there, I got to open another present and it was dress up clothes! Despite the fact that I didn't take my dress up clothes off the rest of the time, I got to swing in their backyard, play with Lauren's dolls and jump around the playroom with Lauren!

Daddy did not let me forget that the most important reason for the season is the celebration of Jesus Christ. After Christmas dinner, I used my microphone to sing happy birthday to the baby Jesus in our Nativity. It was a perfect ending to a perfect Christmas.
