New Things!

There have been lots of preparations going on at our house recently!  Daddy is doing a lot of cleaning and Mommy's belly keeps getting bigger and bigger.  They talk about a new baby all the time.  Last weekend we went out on Friday after dinner (which is not usual for us) and we went to pick up a new truck!  Now I have a big truck to ride around in and I can see out the window!  I love it!  And if I do say so myself I look great in it!  The whole weekend when we went anywhere we went in the truck.  One of our trips was to go get a book called "The New Baby".  I love my book so much I have Mommy or Daddy read it over and over to me.
Every day after school I get to ride in the truck when Daddy comes to pick me up.  Sunday was Mother's Day and I gave Mommy a card and lots of crafts that I did for her at daycare.  She liked it a lot and I think she liked getting pampered all day long.  She can't do very much these days anyway because she is so big!

On Thursday night we went to a Durham Bulls game.  It had been since my 1st birthday that we went to a baseball game and I had such a great time! I heard a lot of new songs and I danced THE WHOLE TIME! Everyone was smiling at me and I just had a ball.  I think my best dance is the chicken - I'm very good at it.  We didn't get to see much of the game though because it was delayed.  When I did see the game though I really enjoyed it.  
We didn't do much this weekend except enjoy the nice weather.  The new baby's room is all ready to go.  Mommy and Daddy were putting the finishing touches on it and if I do say so myself I really like spending time in the room.  Sometimes I go back there by myself and read.  The rocking chair is really comfortable.  Mommy got the boppy chair out for the baby and I like to sit in that too and read my books. When I am in my room by myself I practice opening and closing the closet door - I think if I can get a handle on that door I can start to open the rest of the doors in the house so I can go into Mommy and Daddy's room all the time to play with the clock or go through the drawers in the bathroom!
According to what Mommy and Daddy are saying we may get another new thing this week - we will just have to see!!!!!

Strawberry Season

It's starting to feel a lot like summer!  It was so warm this week that we had a water play day at school!  I had such a great time my clothes were soaked!  Thankfully, I always have a change of clothes it was fine. This weekend we went to pick strawberries!  I had so much fun - so  much more fun than last year!  It was a long walk to get out to where the strawberries were growing at the farm, but once we got there I didn't waste any time tasting the berries!  Were they every good!!!  Daddy would help me pick a berry, then I would sit myself down and enjoy eating.  I would have to say I did more eating than picking!
These days I've increased my vocabulary.  It's so nice when Mommy and Daddy teach me new words and then I get to use them.  My newest words are: bird, squirrel, mulch, choo choo (secret word for bus/truck), juice, cookie, bless you.  Every day it's a new word!  Sometimes I learn new songs at school and I come home and sing them.  Mommy and Daddy can sometimes figure out what I am singing, and others they don't.  My favorite song right now is The Itsy Bitsy Spider.  Aside from playing with my baby Sasha and her blanket I keep myself very busy these days hugging and kissing Mommy and Daddy a lot!
