Fall's Here But It's Still Summer Fun!

Although I've started school and the calendar says it's almost October, it still feels like summer to me. In the afternoons when I come home from school, the weather has been perfect for fishing at the pond, playing outside, picnics on the porch and going to the park. The one day we were fishing we weren't catching fish, we were catching dragon flies! It was fun to see the dragon fly land on my stick!!
Last week, we had a lot of rain. I thought it would never end, but thankfully I got the book I ordered at school! I have read it at least 20 times! I love my new book!
Over the weekend, we spent a lot of time outside. Adam and I were outside most of the day while Mommy and Daddy stained the fence, and because they worked so hard and finished, we got to have a family outing on Sunday where we explored a big hill!

My Sketching

As promised, here's a sampling of the many drawings I create on a daily basis at school!
A picture of me

Our house. Daddy is mowing the lawn, Mommy is climbing a ladder and I'm looking out the window.

Mommy wrote the explanation of this picture at the top.

One of 2-3 rainbows I draw everyday, with a Silly Sun looking over it of course!

Academic

I'm almost through my second week of PreK-4 and I'm still enjoying it. I have probably drawn over 25 drawings that Mommy actually knows of - there are some I don't even bring home from school because they don't make the cut. I have drawn everything from a silly sun, me riding a horse, a picture of Adam,  Daddy mowing the lawn, Mommy climbing a castle on a ladder and an underwater scene complete with a seahorse and jelly. I am quite the little artist. Hopefully you will enjoy a sampling of my work on my next post.
You would think with being at school half the day I would only want to play with toys and have fun, but part of having fun for me is reading! I love reading my Biscuit books! I can read the whole "Biscuit and the Little Pup" book. Or maybe I have it memorized...

First Day of Pre-K 4!

Today was my first day of Pre-K 4! Mommy was so proud of me because when she dropped me off I signed in, hung up my backpack, found my seat and said hello to the teacher all on my own! Mommy and Adam just stood at the doorway and watched. Lots of other parents had to help, but I didn't need it! This year will be another good school year! I'm so excited that I get to go to school 4 days a week!
Now that school has started, summer is officially over (although it certainly doesn't feel like it outside!) My last week of summer is always exciting because its my birthday, but in addition to that, Grammie and Gramps came to visit! We played games, baked, read, cuddled, watched movies and had an excellent time together!
I spent the last few weeks of summer perfecting my scooter skills!

Mr Greg let me ride his police motorcycle!
