March Activities

There's been lots to do with the weather being so nice outside! Trips to Pullen Park with friends, visiting people, fishing at the pond (I cast the fish into the water last time we went, boo) checking on our bulbs, posing in dresses (I can do that when we need a break from being outside) and planting more seeds. Our visit to Pullen Park was fun! This was the first time that Mommy had trouble keeping track of me because I was running around enjoying all of the different park equipment since I'm old enough for most of it these days. Speaking of being old enough, Mommy and Daddy kept telling me I couldn't eat an egg sandwich until I was 5 and then all of a sudden Mommy made one for lunch one day and I LOVED IT! It was everything I hoped and more. It was creamy, eggy, cheesy and delicious! I also keep asking when I will start to lose my baby teeth. That's another one that Mommy says won't happen until I turn 6, but maybe it will come before I know it, just like the breakfast sandwich. Well, see, actually, (that's the word of the week right now) I've had quite an obsession with my age recently and wanting to know how old I need to be to do things. "How old do I have to be to use a saw, mow the lawn, drive a car, put fertilizer in the garden..." A new day brings a new question. And a song. We sang a song for the parents at the coffee social the other day at school. Mommy was astounded that I would not sing the song for her before the day of the social. I told her it was surprise! And it sure was - my class did a great job! Ms. Angela really knows how to teach music!

March - The Month of Birthdays

It seems like every couple of days there is another birthday - not just any birthday either. My three favorite ladies' birthdays are all within 2 weeks! First Grammie, then Mommy, then Mimi! What fun! I have been busy making birthday cards!
This last week was special because of birthdays, but we also had some special visitors: Mimi and Papa! We spent time outside, watching movies, reading books and most importantly they took us to Marbles! I love that museum. We went strait from school, had a picnic lunch outside, then got to go in and have lots of fun. I just couldn't get enough of it, running from one exhibit to another and enjoying all the exciting activities. I especially liked climbing and swinging on the rings. Mimi thought it was really funny how interested I was in the ambulance! We also had fun at home doing fun activities. Mimi and Papa bought me a twirly dress when they visited Hawaii, so I had fun twirling around in it! By the time Mimi and Papa left on Friday I had worn them out completely! I have more energy than I can expend in one day!

Ride the Dinosaurs!

This weekend we visited Discover the Dinosaurs, an excellent exhibit and kid extravaganza all things dinosaur! I really enjoyed looking at the dinosaurs, my favorite being the Triceratops. My most favorite part was riding the dinosaurs. Anything and everything that I could climb on and ride I did! I took a ride on a "rhinoceros," a baby T-Rex (both of those moved!), a baby Triceratops, another small dinosaur and all of the dinosaurs at the Dino Den. Mommy and Daddy were also impressed how well I did in the inflatables - and believe me, there were a ton of inflatables. I really enjoyed the slides! It was fun doing something different for a change and seeing how big dinosaurs really were! One question I do have is, "Did dinosaurs eat peanut butter?"

The Triceratops - my favorite!
When choosing a dinosaur to ride, I chose the biggest one!
