Big Girl Bed!

Mommy and Daddy are so proud of me!  This weekend I graduated into a big bed and I am doing fantastic with it!  I had no problems going to sleep on Friday night, and today I walked back to my bedroom and got into my bed all on my own for my nap.  It's still challenging getting out of bed though...I haven't figured out an easy way to get out, so I just crawl right off the mattress onto the floor.  This new bed is comfy too!  I am sleeping very well.
It has been raining everyday and there is a lot of pollen outside so we have been staying indoors, even at school.  I'm hoping the pollen goes away soon so that I can go on walks after school with Mommy.  When we walk, we go really slow.  Her belly is getting big and she can't walk as fast as me!
Mommy has a new trick she has started with me.  When she and I are home together and Daddy is gone and she has to cook in the kitchen, she turns the toddler tunes on the computer and I listen to them in the big chair!  I recognize a lot of the songs that come on and I always get excited about what song will come on next.  Its good for Mommy because I stay out of trouble, and its fun!

March: In like a summer lamb

It has been such a warm spring so far, Mommy has had to get out my shorts and T-shirts to wear!  I don't mind the warm weather though because it means I get to spend more time outside at daycare and when I get home.  The pollen has started to come out with the warm weather.  Mommy is constantly blowing her nose and Mommy and Daddy can't tell if I have a cold or if I have allergies because I've been stuffed up and coughing the last week.
Last weekend, Mimi and Papa came to visit!  I had been practicing saying their names a couple of weeks before they came so I could impress them - which I did of course. It doesn't take much for me to look cute or act older than I really am!
Mimi put her coat on me and we thought it was funny!
Unfortunately I wasn't feeling very well on Saturday so we stayed in most of Mimi and Papa's visit. I still had a lot of fun, however I wish I could have shown them my favorite new park with hopes that I could go on the ferris wheel or take a ride on the train.  Mimi and Papa brought me a present in shiny paper.  Once I got though the paper and stickers, there was a fun puzzle with animal shapes on it that they had gotten for me.  I love playing with the puzzle and it gives me the opportunity to practice my animal names and noises.  I can say the word "animal" now and I can also spell the letters in my name: C-O-R-A.  I've been practicing every night before bed because the letter are right there on the wall for me to see!

Daddy baked a cake for Mommy's birthday!  I'm not a huge fan of birthday cake, and I feel bad that I didn't want to eat my Mommy's cake.  The pieces without the icing were okay and I would eat them, but its not something I HAVE to have.  I got to try cake again on Mimi's birthday, which was last week too.  All of these birthdays are hard to keep track of in March!

First shorts of the season - Im upset because I'm not outside!

A Healthy March

It has been two weeks and I haven't been sick so there is a lot of reason to celebrate!  March is also a month to celebrate birthdays too!!!  Grammie had her birthday the other day, then Mommy and Mimi are celebrating very soon.  I still need to learn how to say Happy Birthday! but at this point, everyone seems happy with whatever I say.
Me dressed up for Valentine's Day

As I mentioned I've been healthy the past few weeks, especially when I celebrated my 18 month milestone.  At my 18 month well visit, I had a very large infection on my arm that I had to take medicine for.  My well visit was on Valentine's Day, so let's just say it wasn't the most fun holidays I've had.  The doctor squished a lot of the infection out of my arm and I am so brave, I didn't even flinch.  Mommy and Daddy took good care of my arm and it started to get better instantly.  Unfortunately, a few days after my doctor's visit I got stomach flu, and then Mommy and Daddy got it a few days later. That WAS NOT fun.  So, there are lots of reasons to celebrate March - here's to a healthy rest of the spring!
Yesterday, Mommy and Daddy noticed that my teeth are almost done growing!  I now have a full mouth of teeth!  I suppose soon I will have to go to the dentist!  I've also been practicing with new words.  I know the word poo poo now - and I actually know what it means!  Mommy and Daddy bought me a cool potty so I guess its time to start learning those kinds of words.  I also love making animal noises when I see pictures of them; I know what noise cows, pigs, donkeys, horses, chickens, ducks, dogs and cats make!  Its so much fun making animal noises!!
I got a doggie from my cousins for Valentine's Day!

Mimi and Papa are coming to visit this weekend and I am looking forward to seeing them!!!  I'm sure after their visit I will have lots of fun stories to tell.
