I Turned 3!!!

This past weekend was my third birthday! And I can hold three fingers up to show everyone how old I am too!! Even though my birthday was on Sunday, I felt like I had a birthday week because we had so many visitors and everyday was like a celebration!
Two weeks ago I got to meet my cousin Saige! Aunt Tracie and Uncle Marcus brought her to see me! I was so excited to see her when she finally arrived I was shaking with excitement. It has been a while since I have seen a baby smaller than Adam; even better I got to play with her too! It was nice to finally meet her. The visit was nice: it included lots of smiles from Saige (a few poopie diapers too), cinnamon rolls made by Uncle Marcus, a camera (one of my birthday presents) and playing with Uncle Marcus at the playground. It was a great visit, and it got even better when Mimi and Papa came! They got to see all of us kids in action together! We took some nice walks, and we celebrated my birthday with cupcakes, funny hats and a big Elmo balloon! It was crazy having everyone in the house together, but I loved it! There was always someone doing something somewhere in the house!
Two days passed and before I knew it, Grammie and Gramps came! I had fun spending time with them out on the screen porch and taking walks around the pond. The day before my birthday they babysat and I had a fun night!
My actual birthday was perfect. The weather couldn't have been any better for a late August day. The sun was shining and there was a cool breeze so we could spend most of the day outside or on the screen porch, which is of course where I decided to open my presents. I loved all of my gifts! I got a new baby!! She goes everywhere with me and I put her to bed on the window seat in the playroom during naptime and at bedtime. I feed her medicine ALL THE TIME because she sneezes and coughs A LOT! Sometimes she scares me because her cheeks turn red (Mommy makes them do that and I don't like it). Eventually I will give her a name, but I need to get to know her before I decide.
I have so many things to be thankful for, especially after such a great birthday week. Mommy and Daddy love me so much and I have such a wonderful family. Adam is able to put up with me and he's a good sport about it. We have a very nice home to live in and I'm so happy to be able to spend so much time outdoors getting to know other kids. I am one lucky THREE year-old.

Hello and Goodbye!

This past week was extremely eventful! We moved to the new house finally!!! Uncle Mike, Aunt Sandy, Kaitlyn and Lauren all came to help us - and I loved seeing them! Daddy was driving a big truck and on Saturday morning everything got loaded on, we drove up to our new house and everything went in! This time we get to stay!! We were all exhausted by the end of our moving day, but after a week we have finally caught up on sleep and are getting things, most importantly the playroom, organized. While Mommy and Daddy organize, Adam and I have been taking time to break in the new house! Outside, inside, downstairs, upstairs in our underwear! In the mix of all the madness we also had to say goodbye to our old house. We went back to it and it was empty, so Adam and I ran around it and screamed to hear all the echos. Daddy was a little sad when we had to leave, although we didn't forget to take my picture with my tree! I can't believe how big it got!!
Early in the week, a BIG, HUGE truck arrived at our house and delivered the piano! It took them a while to get it in and set up, but they finally did and I immediately sat on the bench and started pushing the piano! It was an exciting morning!!
Amidst the unpacking, we have still been taking time for daily walks. There's a lot to see in our new neighborhood and I especially like the Forgotten Pond that is right around the corner. The first time we walked along the greenway we saw a turtle! I enjoy the greenway because it is mostly shaded, perfect for hot summer days! We also met one of our neighbors - her name is Meredith and she is my age! We will have fun playing together. There are also a lot of boys in the cul-de-sac. That will take some getting used to, but I'm sure I can do it.
I also love my new room! It's the perfect color and I love that my bed is under the tree! Much to Mommy and Daddy's surprise I slept great the first night, and every night since although I'm still funny about where things are when I fall asleep. Since we are still moving in, sometimes new things will appear in my room that I'm not used to and I don't want to go to sleep. After some fussing, Mommy and Daddy tell me it's okay so I finally give up and go to bed.
As Daddy promised, he finally took me to a baseball game and we stayed up extra late so we could see the fireworks! I loved the fireworks! The loud booms didn't bother me at all. We had ice cream together and Daddy taught me more about baseball. I had fun spending the evening just me and my Daddy!
