Right after track out started we had a spectacular trip to the West Virginia mountains. I wasn't a huge fan of the curvy mountain roads, they made my stomach upset; but luckily those roads only lasted for a short bit. When we first arrived at Snowshoe, we suited up in our show clothes and attempted snow tubing. Unfortunately it was really warm that day and the snow tubes weren't sliding very well. We only got to try that once and then had to move on to something else. Our condo was ready to check in so we got settled there and then walked down to another activity in a big tent called the Big Top. Inside, they had some fun activities for kids. There was a bungee trampoline and a climbing wall. I loved both of them and I climbed to the top of the wall multiple times. After that we enjoyed dinner, then it was time to get some rest in preparation for our day of ski school!

I had a good day at ski school, getting used to skis again. By the end of the day, I had graduated to a blue lever skier, meaning I could ski on blue trails. My ski instructor took our class all over the mountain. The next day, I was ready to show Mom all the places I went. After ski school was over, we went to a nice dinner with Mom to celebrate her birthday. Surprisingly, Adam and I weren't too exhausted after a day of ski school and we stayed up late goofing around in bed!

The next day Adam and I skied with Mom. In the morning, after I got my skis on, the wind was so strong on the top of the mountain that it was blowing me backwards! I almost thought that I wouldn't be able to ski, but luckily Mom managed to drag Adam and me down far enough so we could make it all the way to the bottom. On the chair lift, I explained to Mom all the things that my instructor taught me about the ride in the chairlift, including a cave with a black bear and Yedi (stuffed) under the lift. After lunch we went out for a couple more runs. Dad took Adam for a while for a break while I got to ski with Mom for two runs. I took her over to another part of the mountain and we had fun skiing together. Sometimes I would follow Mom and she would teach me how to make turns. When we got done with our runs, I met Dad and he took me for a waffle and hot chocolate. We sat enjoying our snack in the sun watching a constant flow of skiers getting off the lift. I had a great day of skiing, too bad we had to pack up and leave the next day. Fortunately, we still have 2.5 weeks left of track out!
