Swimming in the Cold

It seems like every time Tuesday rolls around, the weather decides to get cold, just in time for my swim lesson. I'm hoping for my last swim lesson this week I can walk out to the car without wearing a hat, coat and socks! Mommy has been taking me to the pool on the weekend to practice my skills, especially jumping into the pool which is my favorite thing about swimming! I even don't mind putting my face in the water anymore, although I say I'm not going to do it, then I do it anyways....
As I mentioned the weather always gets cold for Tuesdays. There have been some really beautiful, warm days so we have been taking advantage of it by going out for ice cream and exploring new parks!

Like a Fish in Water

This week at swim lesson, Ms Jessica reported that I was very close to swimming on my own!! When i have on a floaty on my back and the dumbbell under my arms I can scoop enough with my hands and kick with my feet to move through the water. I am getting much more comfortable in the water these days, so much that I like to stick my face in the water during baths! It also helps that we occasionally go to the pool to get extra practice in between my lessons. For example, I practiced first with Daddy and then again with Mommy jumping in without any help. Then, I was able to show Ms Jessica that I didn't need to hold her arms when jumping in the water!

On Monday this week, my friend Molly from school had a St Patrick's Day cookie decorating party at her house. I had so much fun playing at her house and decorating cookies! Then on Tuesday, Mimi came to visit us! Although we had some cold, rainy weather again, it didn't stop us from having a good time. I got to show off my swimming skills at the pool, ride on the train at the mall, visit Marbles museum, and play outside at the park (once the weather improved). We did so much that by the weekend I was exhausted! I'm not used to having so much fun during the week!

Dress Like Mommy

I'm always looking for any excuse to pose in a pretty dress. Thankfully, Mommy let me try on a dress that she wore as a little girl and I was more than happy to strike a few poses. Even though the dress was much more frilly than I am used to, I did look cute in it. I would even venture to say that I looked better in it, but I'm sure Mommy would have a hard time agreeing with that! I'll let you be the judge! I do wish I had a great pair of gray moon boots to wear!
As the days go by, Adam is much more fun to play with and be around. He mimics many things I do (which I LOVE) and he is a great companion to have. I'm great at helping Mommy change his diaper or trying to calm him down when he is upset. In those moments, I call him Buddy. Although I hear Mommy and Daddy call him that, he IS my little buddy.

I Love Mardi Gras

The past two weeks have been fun-filled with candy and necklaces! Because of the big snowstorm the Valentine's Day party at school had to be rescheduled. I am glad that it was because I got some very nice Valentine's from my friends at school (not to mention yummy chocolate, treats and lollipops). We even got some fun packages in the mail for the holiday! I also liked giving Valentine's to my friends as well. Mommy helped me write my friends' names on their cards, but I signed my name on each and every one. It was great practice!

Next, came another unexpected holiday - Mardi Gras. I don't understand what it is, but all I know is I get to wear lots of necklaces to a festival where I got to have my face painted! I asked for a giraffe and the lady made me look like a giraffe! I also got my first balloon animal, which of course I asked for a horse - in purple! To top off a wonderful day I had with the whole family, Mommy took her first selfie with me while we were at Lowe's. I couldn't have asked for a better two weeks!

Snow Man!

There has been so much excitement recently, I almost forgot about the snowman I built the last time it snowed! Because we built such a big snowman, he lasted FOREVER and we were the last people in the neighborhood still playing with snow in our yard. Hopefully by my posting this, we can say goodbye to the winter and hello to spring!
