Catch of the Week!

School is still going very well. Last week I was the 'Catch of the Week'! I got to color a poster with facts about my name and there were pictures of my family on the bulletin board. Mommy took me to the store where I got to pick up the pictures we had developed. I even paid for the pictures by giving the money to the cashier!
I'm starting to make some friends at school also. Just the other day when we were walking around the pond, I recognized a boy from my class. I pointed to him and told Mommy that he was a friend from school. Circle time is so much fun; one day I decided to have my own circle time at home. After putting blankets down on the floor I invited Adam (he more or less invited himself) to join me on the floor and we looked at pictures together. I'm getting excited for next month at school. There are a lot of fun activities planned!

Tall for my Age!

Last week was so busy with school and our beach trip that I forgot to mention that I had a visit to the doctor for my three year well visit. I am first of all excited that I have not been to the doctor since my last well visit (the doctor was very impressed) and she reported that I am tall for my age. That must be why I fit in so well at school. Nobody can tell that I'm the youngest girl in class! I've also broken 30lbs which is very important because I need to weigh as much as possible to stand up to Adam who has figured out that he can tackle me! The other day when we were out for a walk, I was pushing the wagon, which he didn't like, so he ran up behind me and grabbed me trying to pull me down.
Now that we have ushered in some cooler weather for the fall, we have had the opportunity to eat outside for some of our meals. It's fun eating at the picnic table with Adam so he can practice eating like a grown up like me!

Beach Trip 2013!

As if this past week wasn't exciting enough with starting school, we went to the beach this weekend!!! We had such a busy summer with the move that there wasn't time to get out to the beach, but now that we are all moved in and can relax a bit, as Daddy promised, we deserved a day at the beach. Even though it took almost 3 hours, the trip wasn't bad. The beach at Nags Head was nice and it was a beautiful day. A nice breeze was blowing, the temperature was perfect and there were rip currents, which means I didn't have to go swimming! I was good about putting my toes in the water though, especially with Daddy holding me. I spent most of the day playing in the sand and once Adam got used to being at the beach, we played around by the edge of the water.
Once the breeze started to get cool, we cleaned up our stuff and got changed so we could walk to dinner. After a nice dinner, we went and got ice cream before we had to saddle up and head back home. I was exhausted so I slept most of the way home - but that just means I had a GREAT trip to the beach!! Maybe next time I'll be ready to swim!

My First Day of Preschool!!!

I am officially a preschooler and I survived my first full half day of school like a champ!! When Mommy picked me up, my teachers reported to her that I was all smiles! Would anyone expect anything different from sweet little me?!?! School was fun! I saw a lot of new kids, but they aren't so bad, especially because I have a baby doll to take care of at school. She's not as good as New Baby (yes, that's her name) but I feel bad for her because she has to be alone when we aren't at school. There's a lot of new things to get used to but I will get into the swing of things very soon!
Here's a collage of photos Mommy took of my first day of school! I'd doing the first day of school jig! I look so grown up!!!
