One Sweet Weekend

There has been so much going on in the past few weeks; I graduated from pre-school, went to a dance class, been enjoying the start of summer like weather and most importantly we had a visit from Grammie and Gramps. We did so much and had so much fun I don't even know where to start! I do know that I got a very pretty dress in the present that they gave me when they arrived. Luckily, I had a special excuse to wear my dress the next day: Mom's and Muffins day at school. I had two special ladies with me that day - Mommy and Grammie! I felt so special and it was fun showing off my classroom to Grammie. After school, we went strawberry picking! We went to Vollmer farm so after picking we got to enjoy ice cream and playing in the farmyard.
Finally on Saturday, Mommy and Daddy left to go have their own special time (I kept asking when they would leave!) so we could have a day with Grammie and Gramps. And a day we had indeed. We went to Pullen Park! We enjoyed a picnic lunch, rode ALL of the rides and enjoyed an ice cream treat when it got really hot outside! We had such a good time at the park, we were exhausted on the ride home, but it didn't stop us from enjoying the rest of the day. We made apple pizza, had dinner and went for a walk. There was so much to do, we didn't even have time for a movie! Hopefully when we go to Pennsylvania we can find time to watch our movie Annie - I will not watch it until I get to be with Grammie and Gramps!
On Sunday we went to an air show! The airplanes were fast and loud! I learned that if I put my fingers in my ears that the noise wasn't so bad. We also got to walk through the inside of a special air force plane with lots of computers on it. Even better, we got to ride a bus to get to and from the Silver Bullet. I had a great time there and during the entire weekend!

PreSchool Graduate!

This week, May 20th to be exact, was my last day of PreK 4! I was happy to announce it to anybody I saw. "Yesterday was my last day of preschool, and now I'm going to kindergarden!" My last day of school was marked by a stellar choral performance of my class singing, "Building the Church". I sang so loud that Mommy and Daddy could hear me. I was so proud to perform in front of everyone. We finished our end of the year program singing "We're Off to Kindergarten".  In a few short weeks, I will be off to my new school!

My First Dance Class

I got to live out my dancing dream last night at a dance class! The other Cora invited me to attend dance class with her for "bring a friend" day. We got to tap dance and practice ballet. I showed Mommy a few moves I learned in class. This is hopefully the beginning of my dance career!

More Activities

It seems like the warm weather spurs events and activities. We had a great Mother's Day weekend which included the neighborhood picnic, a birthday party and a surprise visit to a strawberry farm for some strawberry picking! All of the activities were fun, but I especially liked Hayes' birthday party because they had a slip n' slide there! When I wasn't eating pizza and cookies all I wanted to do was slip n' slide! All of the other kids lost interest after a few slides, but I didn't give up trying to slide farther and venture under the hose (which I didn't like until I got really hot and sweaty running on my approach to the slip n' slide). I hope I get to do that again soon sometime!
Today I also had my kindergarten orientation at my new school! I was apprehensive at first and was upset when all the kindergarteners had to leave their parents to go do an activity. But, I found the other Cora and had fun reading a book and doing a craft. I forgot that I was even upset! Hopefully, it won't be as bad on my first day of kindergarten!

Flowery Fun

This past Monday when I didn't have school and Daddy was out of town, Mommy decided to take us on a special outing to see some gardens and visit the Pullen Park! Adam and I had a great time running around the garden and I had a blast posing for pictures - I don't think Mommy appreciates all of my poses though...
I am always taking about how old I can be to do things - this is normal. But recently I've been talking about what I will do when I turn 16 and I can drive. I plan on driving a convertable car. Or possibly anything that goes fast and isn't ugly. That's pretty much all I care about when we drive. Is a car a fast car and is it ugly.

Meet in the Street

Over the weekend we attended a festival called Meet in the Street! When we got there, I wasn't so sure about it with all the people and kids around, but by the time we left I had really enjoyed myself. My favorite part was the fire department obstacle course and fire safety house! I got to wear a fireman's hat, crawl through a tube, spray a fire hose, then learn what to do when there is a fire inside a house. Inside the fire safety house it got really smoky and we were upstairs in the trailer. By going downstairs and crawling out the back door we were able to avoid the smoke! Daddy stood in the kitchen while I was upstairs with all the other kids - the kitchen was beautiful!
