Gymnastics

I can say now that I have tried gymnastics. My friend, Molly (my birthday twin) had her birthday party at a gymnastics place, so I had the chance to see what it was like. At first, I was hesitant because I didn't know anyone except Molly, but I tried it after a while. It was fun, but I think I may stick with something else for the time being. The best part about her party was a special visit from Elsa! One week of school left until we track out for three weeks!

5 YEARS OLD!

I am a full hand of fingers old! The other girls that sit on the bus with me are 5 years old! We are all 5! My 5th birthday did not disappoint! Some of my favorite people called me to wish me a happy birthday and I got to see all of my grandparents for my special day! And I managed to do all that while spending the entire day at school!
In the morning when I woke up, Mommy told me I could have whatever I wanted for breakfast and I wanted oatmeal with raisins in it! After breakfast, while Adam and I sat on the front porch and watched the trash truck I had a phone call from Marcus, Tracie and Saige! They wished me a happy birthday and I opened my present from them which was everything My Little Pony! I got to wear my Pinky Pie socks to school!
I had a special surprise at school too. We were outside at recess and when we came inside, Mommy and Adam were in the classroom waiting for me! They had brought me a gift! Mrs. Manukas made me a birthday hat and my entire class sang happy birthday to me! After that I opened my gift, a book called "This Book Ate My Dog", and Mommy read it to the class. When we finished the book, we went to our seats everyone colored pictures of birthday wishes for me. I got to bring home my book full of wishes from my school friends.
After school, we went straight inside and saw Mimi and Papa! They wished me a happy birthday and I opened my present from them. They got me a horse! Just like Papa had promised when we were at the Marbles Museum, the horse looks just like the ones there! I named my horse Sparky. They also got me a brush that I can use to groom Sparky. I will keep her in my room and take good care of her! (Maybe I'll let Adam help too).
Daddy came home from work early to be with me and after a yummy dinner I got to have birthday cake! Just as I had been asking for, Mommy made me a giraffe cake in my favorite colors! It was super delicious, a sweet start to my next surprise! We got to see Grammie and Gramps! I opened my present from them. It had a care in it which I did a pretty good job reading, but it said that I was going to go to dance classes!! I immediately got out the ballet shoes in the box and began to show them how great of a dancer I will be! I can't wait to show them all that I learn in dance class!
Lastly, I got to open presents from Mommy and Daddy. They got me some tap shoes to wear at dance class and a Frozen Guitar! I have been wanting one sooooo bad! Now I can sing, play and dance all at the same time! What a spectacular birthday! I had a pretty sweet day, school and all!!!

Let the Festivities Begin!

Ever since the beginning of August I have been counting the days until my birthday on my calendar. Shortly after August began, I found out that I would be running in the Fun Run at school. It's a way to raise funds for our school through pledging. So, not only did I have my birthday to look forward to, I also had the Fun Run! THEN, earlier this week Mommy told me that I would be having a party to celebrate my birthday over the weekend (since my birthday is on a Tuesday). Finally, the Fun Run day arrived, then my party! I had a great time the week leading up to the fun run (we had crazy sock day, crazy hair day, pajama day) and running at the fun run. Mommy and Adam came to cheer for me as I completed 35 laps around the track! After our run, we got to watch some teachers put garbage bags over their clothes and get hit in the face with pies! Later on during the day we got to watch a movie at school. All in all it was a fun day!
And the fun didn't stop there. Saturday morning I had a great time at my party. The weather was beautiful and most of my friends were able to come to the park and play. We celebrated with some donuts, juice and ice pops and played a Rainbow Dash game that Mommy made. Some of my friends made cards for me, I just felt so special! I can't believe there's still a few days until my REAL birthday - I feel like I've already gotten to celebrate so much!

Babysitting and School Days...

I have been in school for 6 weeks already and it feels like FOREVER! So far, I really love going to computer lab and I enjoy music with Mr. Rashleigh. He taught us a song that I love to sing, "Five Green and Speckled Frogs." I have been learning an awful lot and have begun writing sentences (some are actual words, and others are words that I try to make). When we went to visit Uncle Mike and Aunt Sandy (I may have called her Uncle Sandy a few times) they gave me some lined paper for me to practice writing. Here's a sample of my newest talents in writing:

Now that I am in school all week, there's not a whole lot of time to do much, I can't even imagine what it will be like when I have homework! Most of what happens these days, happens on the weekends. Last weekend we went to a baseball game where we enjoyed a big bucket of popcorn and fireworks after the game! We also got to pet sit! We had to watch Red, a beta fish that belongs to Ethan. I enjoyed watching him swim around the tank. He (he was a she to me…) would swim out of his cave every time you would come to look at him. Feeding him wasn't much fun though because he didn't really eat a whole lot.

I Love Swimming!

This past weekend we went to Virginia to visit Uncle Mike, Aunt Sandy, Kaitlyn and Lauren! I didn't realize they had a pool in their backyard! It was soooo cool!! It was too deep for me to stand so I could practice swimming around the pool to everybody, but if I wore my swimmy I could swim around, jump on the floats and do whatever I wanted in the pool! I could have stayed in the pool all day, but I had to get out occasionally to eat and get sunscreen. Around dinner time we finally did get out the pool and they had a huge princess coloring book for me that I got to color! Lauren took us into her room and she had so many toys in there, it reminded me of our playroom! It seems like soon after we got to Virginia, we were driving home….I slept most of the ride home because I was exhausted from all the swimming I did!
