Fish at Play!

No sooner had we finished school that we had a visit from Mimi and Papa! We did lots of fun thing with them; they were all so different I don't think I could even say what my favorite was! One day we went to the pool. I had a splendid time swimming with Papa. He would throw me in the pool, give me boat rides and pretend to be a shark! This visit to the pool I actually did 5 underwater summersaults in a row! Then, the next day we went to the Sylvan Heights bird park. It was an interesting visit. I did lots of different things (even though it was really hot). I got to feed a flamingo out of my hand, have budgies land on my hand and arm, touch a snake and listen to the kookaburra laugh! There was a bird I did not like that would follow you wherever you walked. If you ran, it would run too! Papa was good at attracting the budgies - at one point there were probably 8 birds on his arm and neck! After two busy days, we spent a day at home, just enjoying time with Mimi and Papa. Mimi and I spent lots of time playing Barbies! Plus, Mimi taught me how to curl ribbon! We decorated all sorts of things with it, including Father's Day presents for Papa and Dad! It was a great visit with them - just the perfect amount of fun!
We ended the weekend Mimi and Papa left celebrating Father's Day. Even though we didn't have a full kitchen yet, it didn't stop us from celebrating Dad and appreciating all the hard work he does for us (and the kitchen)!
We have a few days left to enjoy some relaxation at home (and to get our kitchen done) before we get to go visit Grammie and Gramps! Since Adam won't play Barbie with me, we will have to find something else to do - maybe play restaurant!

Last Day of 2nd Grade!

I'm finally done with 2nd grade - I won't lie, a tear or two was shed on the last day because I was so sad about being done with Mrs. Jackson and the 2nd grade. She made going to school fun and I will miss her. Plus, the last day I was awarded with Dill (the BeanieBaby) for achieving the most points in the last quarter! I love Dill and it will be a great day to remember my school year. Although school is over for a few weeks, we took no time to relax. Adam had some T-ball games, there was lots of work going on in our kitchen and we went to visit Cathy to see Addie for the first time! She's a really adorable baby and I was so excited to hold her! We had a great visit and I can't wait to see what is in store for the rest of our break!
