Jibber Jabber

Posing in my warm PJ's
I love to talk.  I talk all the time and to whoever wants to hear me.  I say hi to most everyone.  This all comes in handy, especially when telling Mommy and Daddy I have to go to the bathroom - which I am still a pro at the potty.  When we sit at the table during lunch and dinner I like to point out who needs bibs and who does not.  I say, "Mommy not need a bib, Daddy not need a bib, Cora needs a bib, Adam needs a bib."  Miss Elaine came over to say hi the other day and she could barely keep up with all I had to tell her.  She was very impressed with my ability to correctly identify all the fruits and vegetables that Mommy drew for me.

I did my puzzle on my own (with a little help from Mommy)
Daddy was home on Monday for his holiday and we got to go to the park.  I was showing off all my climbing skills.  And I looked really good doing it with my glasses on!  It's cold outside and I'm really getting antsy.  Today when Mommy and I got back from the grocery store I wanted to go rake the crumbs out of the garage, but she wouldn't let me!  Please get warm - I want to go outside!!!  I  love puzzles, but I can only do them so many times!!!

The Repeater

I'm back to some of my old tricks again - one of them being the repeater.  Mommy and Daddy have to be careful what they say because I will repeat it.  That is one way that I have been able to broaden my vocabulary. I've also been learning my fruits and vegetables.  Once in the morning and once in the afternoon we review the sheet of fruits and vegetables that Mommy drew with my crayons.  At the grocery store, I got to practice in real life when Daddy would cart me around in the produce section and ask me different fruits.

This week we had nasty weather outside.  We didn't get any snow, but Grammie sent me a picture of a snowman that she built, so I could visualize what the snow looked like it.  Mommy taped the picture up in my playroom, although I like to tape it in other places around the house.  Even though the entire week was ugly weather, thankfully when the weekend arrived, so did some beautiful weather!  Mommy took me to a really fun park.  It had swings (one of my favorite) and some different play areas, like one with a dragon you could run and climb on.  I really like exploring new places!  Recently, Daddy says that I gauge the time of day by when Jeopardy is on.  In the mornings I say, "It's not time for Jeopardy." Then again in the afternoon, I say the same.  In the evenings, not long after we finish eating dinner, I know its time for Jeopardy.  Mommy and Daddy are easily entertained by things I say.  For example, I was in the kitchen (even though I'm not supposed to be) and I was standing in the way of a cabinet Mommy needed to open.  She said, "Excuse me, Cora"  I promptly replied, "Mommy farted!"  And then Mommy and Daddy both proceeded to laugh!  Sometimes I really get a kick out of myself!!!

Even Bigger Girl!!!

Showing off my pretty underpants!
I have been so good with my potty training this week, I have only had ONE accident.  That is definitely something to be proud of - additionally I have overcome the fear of pooping in the potty too!  Although I scream and cry a lot on the potty, I eventually get the courage and I can do it!  It has been 4 days in a row that I have been able to poo poo on the potty!  How much cleaner it is!  I dont have to lay on the floor and watch Mommy or Daddy pull wipe after wipe out of the container to clean me up.  The only remaining thing to do is sleep without my night underwear (technically a diaper).  Mommy and Daddy need to buy me another set of sheets before they will let me go without that extra protection.  For the most part I am pretty good about not going in my night underwear, but sometimes I don't remember to let Mommy know when I have to go, especially at night.  I would hate to wake her and Daddy up when they are sound asleep!

This week was another good week at home.  It wasn't too cold so we got to go out for a lot of walks.  One day on our way home Miss Rebeccah met us and invited us into her backyard.  I helped her pick some carrots from her garden.  Boy, was that fun.  At first when she asked me what they were, I thought they were trees, but later on I remembered what carrots looked like.  I've never seen carrots before with leaves on top of them!  I hope that Mommy starts a garden so I can watch vegetables grow and I can pick them!  We also put Christmas away this week.  That meant we packed away all of the decorations - INCLUDING SANTA!  He went back to the North Pole and I know why he had to go, but I was so upset when I woke up the next morning.  I didn't get to turn the lights on for the tree AND Santa wasn't on his stand waiting for me to cuddle with him.  I was devastated, but I got over it quickly.  I only asked Daddy a few times for Santa.  Instead of Santa in the mornings, my new routine is to go into the playroom and ask to see the pictures on the shelf of Marcus, Tracie and Sage.  The other day I set it in front of my chair so I could see it while I read and played with my toys.  I also love to play with Adam now.  He can finally crawl fast enough so he can chase me around while I crawl.  Sometimes I cheat and run, but for the most part I try to keep it fair and crawl.  It has been a great weekend with great weather so far, I can't wait to keep enjoying it!

Big Girl!

Eating snacks on the potty waiting to go

I spent a lot of time over the weekend sitting on the throne - the potty that is.  Through laughing, screaming, singing, slapping and crying I finally went pee pee on the potty on Friday afternoon.  Then, by Sunday, I was telling Mommy when I needed to go and she would help me.  Everytime I go, I get less upset and I think more and more about the treats I get for using the potty - one M&M and two pennies for my piggy!  It is such a strange sensation using the potty,  but I am starting to get used to it.  Mommy and Daddy are so proud of me.  We called a lot of people on the phone so I could announce, "I pee pee on the potty!!"
I also had a great week with Mommy being at home - I especially like being able to spend so much time with Adam.  We are starting to get into a schedule, but I know it can be hard because Adam and I are on somewhat different schedules.  We have music time in the mornings, reading time in the afternoons, and as long as the weather isn't raining or too cold we go for walks and I get to push Adam in the stroller.  On the weekends, I still get to go to the playground at the school and practice climbing.  Today, Mommy let me take my phone in my coat pocket in case anyone called me or I needed to make a phone call.  When we were running around the bases at the kickball field we found poo poo on one of the bases, so I had to call and tell Daddy all about it.
